Is the con scene appropriate?

I mean, there isnt alot of hentai right out in center is there? Im a huge anime fan but my mom isnt into it.. I just barely convinced her to take me and I really dont want it to end like Dramacon XDD
so are there ways to avoid running into the less appropriate stuff?

You shouldn't run into any hentai; I don't think I've ever seen any vendors sell any either. AMA is family-friendly, so everything is pretty much PG. You'll see on the schedule that some events, like Guests Uncensored, are 18+; but I think that's pretty much it. And it's at midnight. If anyone is wearing or doing anything offensive, you can just talk to Security for them to resolve.

I think every once in a while a vendor may have a little hentai-esque items (maybe not full blown hentai, but not appropriate for the younger audience) but they are behind the table and you have to ask. To be honest, AMA is family friend and other than a few 18+ panels there is very few things like that here.

This'll be my fourth year at AMA and I've never run into anything inappropriate. I'd say stick with a friend or something if you don't want to take chances.
